This week's Spartan Athlete of the Week are Alex Weathersby. Weathersby performed extremely well this past weekend at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Invitational.

Weathersby, a senior, ran the 5K course in a time of 19:45, besting her personal record by 36 seconds. She went on to place 10th in an 83-person field.
