Upson began his season last week with a perfect 5-0 record. He began his award-winning week with a win by fall over Michael Chatman of Lindenwood-Belleville in just 1:42. Will then headed to the Warrior Duals at Indiana Tech University and recorded four wins. He won by tech fall in his first two matches and by 5-4 decision in the final two. Upson and teammate Matt Behr were the only two Spartans to go undefeated on the week.
