Starrett, a sophomore from Edwardsville, Ill., posted a 25th place finish at the Washington University-St. Louis Early Bird. Her time of 15:40 was the fastest among all NAIA runners, and it bettered her time on the same course from the same event in 2015 by 55 seconds. She finished 34 seconds clear of the next closest NAIA finisher.
