Congratulations to this week's FEMALE Spartan Athlete of the Week, Women's Basketball senior Joelle Atkins!

In Tuesday's 3OT thriller against Williams Baptist, Atkins shattered the MBU single game rebounds record (20, set only a year ago by teammate Alexis Allstun) with 26 boards. In the Spartans' 3-1 week, Atkins averaged 16 rebounds a game while adding seven blocks and seven steals. She currently leads the AMC in both rebounds and blocks. The Spartans are 13-5 overall and have won nine of 10 entering the final week of the regular season.
