This week's Spartan Athlete of the Week is Softball ace Delissa Dennison!
Delissa Dennison was dominant in the pitcher's circle in three starts last week. On Tuesday, she was two outs away from a perfect game against Harris-Stowe. After fanning eight hitters and taking a hard-luck loss on Friday against CBC, Dennison came back with a career-high 14 strikeouts against No. 18 Lyon College on Saturday, guiding the Spartans to their first win over a ranked opponent in nearly three years. After conceding a home run to the first batter of the fourth inning, Dennison did not allow another hit and, at one point, struck out eight consecutive Lyon hitters.
