This week's Spartan Athlete of the Week is Women's Cross Country standout Emily Bayer!

Emily Bayer finished seventh individually (out of 83) at Friday's AMC Championships, earning her All-Conference honors and a spot in the NAIA National Championships in Vancouver, Wash. for the second straight year. As a team, the Spartans finished in third place. In one of the fastest conference meets in recent years, less than seven seconds separated runner-up Sierra St. Aubyn of HLGU (19:04.70) and Bayer (19:11.30) in seventh place.The National Championship meet will be held on November 22.
