COLUMBIA, Mo. – Returning to action for the first time since March 21, the Missouri Baptist University women's tennis team won its fourth consecutive match Thursday afternoon with a 9-0 blanking of American Midwest Conference opponent Stephens College. With a win on the road, MBU improved to 5-2 on the year.

To begin the afternoon, Tamara Klimek and Krista Tyson coasted to an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles over SC's Hannah Dorey and Jada Kyle, while the duo of Dani Stevenson and Thais Castiglioni was an 8-3 winner at No. 2 doubles.

Because the Stars were playing with just four in their lineup, the Spartans earned three points by default at No. 3 doubles and Nos. 5 and 6 singles.

In singles action, the Spartans were nearly perfect with three straight-set wins including Klimek at No. 1 singles, Thais Castiglioni at No. 2 singles and Emily Brown at No. 4 singles. Dani Stevenson rounded out MBU's strong performances with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Eden Crane at No. 3 singles.

The Spartans will have a super quick turnaround as they play Webster University bright and early on Friday, April 6 at 6:30 a.m.
