VINCENT EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS, BOBO FINISHES TOP-10
GULF SHORES, Ala. – The Missouri Baptist University track & field team wrapped up the 2018 NAIA Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on Saturday in style with a pair of top-10 finishes by
Tremaine Bobo and
Adam Vincent with the latter registering an All-American performance.
Freshman
Adam Vincent became the program's second NAIA All-American this weekend following his eighth-place finish in the pole vault. Vincent reached new heights, first clearing the bar at a season-best 4.70 meters and topping that in his first attempt at 4.75 meters (15 feet, 7 inches). Vincent, who entered the Championships ranked 24
th out 25 competitors, catapulted up the rankings on Saturday and earned the Missouri Baptist men one point in the final team standings.
One day after his 10
th-place finish in the long jump,
Tremaine Bobo registered an identical result in the men's triple jump. Bobo recovered from a fault on the first try and recorded his best mark for the day during his second attempt. The 14.56 meters (47 feet, 9 ¼ inches) led to a second-straight 10
th place for the junior.
