Hometown: De Soto, Mo.
Major: Health Sciences
Career Highlights: No. 1 all-time in beach volleyball winning percentage (.636) … No. 3 all-time in beach volleyball wins (28) … Overall record of 28-16 in 3 seasons … Record of 10-1 in 2020 … Teamed up with Sophia Cristiani to record MBU's first ever match win over NCAA Division I volleyball powerhouse University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Most Meaningful MBU Experience Outside of Athletics: “Outside of beach volleyball, my most meaningful experience at MBU has been pursuing my degree in Health Sciences, as I was taught valuable information that will be crucial in my future career. I was also lucky to have been instructed by professors that genuinely cared about my learning and my integrity/responsibilities as a college student (s/o to Dr. Brand and Dr. Elvington).”
Favorite Moment as a Beach Volleyball Student-Athlete at MBU: “My favorite moment as a beach volleyball student-athlete at MBU has been traveling to places such as Texas and Florida and bonding with my teammates. The girls had quickly became some of my best friends and it was a joy to see them every day. Something as simple as overwhelming the grocery store in Florida or our pregame jam sessions led by Sarah will always be dear to my heart. Getting to partner and accomplish milestones with Sophia was also such a blessing and that girl means the world to me!"
Plans After Graduation: “In the fall, I will begin the Doctorate of Chiropractic program at Logan University. This summer, I plan on spending as much time as possible with friends and family while continuing to play beach through leagues and local tournaments.”
Additional Notes & Thank Yous: “I would like to thank my parents for supporting me unconditionally. Particularly, I would like to thank my mom who took on the role as "team mom" by driving 15+ hours to support the team and always having snacks and shade readily available. I would also thank Dan Laure for inspiring my love for the game and Hannah Carey for pushing me to become a better player and teammate. I want any MBU beach players, present and future, to know that this sport is a gift and to savor every possible moment as an athlete. You never truly know when your last practice or game will be!”
