CALLY GAVLICK  //  WOMEN'S SOCCER  //  FORWARD

Cally Gavlick (Siegel) becomes the third women’s soccer player inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining Kathleen Juhaz and Carrie Obermoeller. As a four-time All-AMC First Team selection, the women’s soccer star began and finished her career with a specialty award from the American Midwest Conference. In addition, Gavlick was named AMC Freshman of the Year in 2000 and capped off her illustrious career with AMC Player of the Year honors in 2003. Along the way, Cally helped the Spartans to 50 wins in four years, including a 17-3-2, 3-0-1 AMC record in 2002, a Top-5 victory over No. 2-ranked Lindsey Wilson and garnered three AMC Player of the Week awards. To this day, Gavlick still holds the MBU Women’s Soccer career record for goals (68) and points (166), as well as single-game records for goals (5) and points (11). As a sophomore, the forward led the league in goals (25) and points (61).

Gavlick received two degrees from Missouri Baptist, graduating with a B.S. in Administration of Justice in 2005 and a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2018. She currently teaches first grade at a low-income elementary school and is very involved in the community, ensuring her students and families are taken care of.

BRITTANY LUKASEK  //  WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL  //  MIDDLE BLOCKER

For the second straight year, a Spartan women’s volleyball player will enter the Hall of Fame. Brittany Lukasek (Wyatt) becomes the sixth women’s volleyball inductee, joining Linda Ebert, Ana Mercado, Shannan Swiney, Jennifer Freund, and Brandi Schroeder. The middle blocker was a four-time All-AMC selection and a two-time NAIA All-American in 2007 and 2008. During Lukasek’s four-year career, MBU logged 122 wins, back-to-back NAIA National Championship Semifinal appearances, and a 74-14 record during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Across her final three seasons, Lukasek averaged 3.18 kills per set, 1.12 blocks per set, and a red-hot .441 hitting percentage. She currently ranks 2nd all-time in blocks behind 2016 Hall of Fame inductee Jennifer Freund.

Lukasek also got it done in the classroom earning three AMC Academic All-Conference awards and the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award in 2008. She graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Sports Medicine in 2009 and an MBA in 2010.

LAWRENCE OLUM  //  MEN'S SOCCER  //  DEFENDER & MIDFIELDER

To this day, Lawrence Olum is the most decorated athlete in MBU Men’s Soccer program history. He was a two NAIA All-American in 2003 and 2006, a four-time All-AMC First Team selection, and Academic All-AMC. In 2005, Olum was a key contributor to a Spartan team that won its first-ever American Midwest Conference title, an NAIA Region V Tournament championship, the highest NAIA ranking in program history at No. 12, and an undefeated record in AMC play with just five goals allowed.

Since his time at MBU, Olum has played professionally in the United Soccer League (USL), MLS, and internationally with the Kenya National Team in 2012 and 2014. He played in nearly 150 MLS games with 102 starts to his name.
