AMC CHAMPIONS HAUL IN SIX POSTSEASON AWARDS

ST. LOUIS – At the conclusion of Tuesday's AMC Championship game, the conference announced its list of postseason awards for men's basketball. Five Spartans earned All-Conference recognition while Head Coach
Preston Ingram was named AMC Coach of the Year.
Leading the way as First Team All-AMC selections was senior
Brendon Hardy and graduate senior
John Yaeger. For both players, it's the third straight season of All-Conference honors. Yaeger, a First Team selection last season, averaged 11.8 points and a team-leading 7.6 rebounds per game. Hardy has been the Spartans' leading scorer all season, averaging 12.8 per game.
MBU's representative on the Second Team was graduate senior
RJ Pair. A transfer from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Pair has played a key role in the Spartans' AMC dominance. He's scored in double figures 18 times this season, including a career-high 25 in a season-defining road win over Warner (Fla.) in December. Pair is currently tied with Hardy for the team-lead in scoring, averaging 12.8 ppg.
For the second season in a row, junior point guard
Jadis White was named to the Third Team. The former Chaminade standout has quarterbacked one of the best offenses in the AMC, averaging 4.7 assists per game. For his work at the other end of the court, White was also named to the All-Defensive Team for the second time. He led the AMC with 59 steals (2.0 per game).
Joining White on the All-Defensive Team was graduate senior forward
River Reed. Reed finished second on the Spartans with 5.3 rebounds per game. He also led the team with 16 blocks.
Topping off the awards haul was Head Coach
Preston Ingram who was named AMC Coach of the Year for the first time. In his third season in charge, Ingram guided MBU Men's Basketball to a 15-1 AMC record, the regular season conference title, and postseason tournament title.
