Mia Nicol was named MBU Head Coach of Competitive Cheer on May1, 2024
Missouri Baptist University Director of Athletics Jeff Fore has announced the appointment of Mia Nicol as the new head coach of MBU Cheer, effective May 1.

Missouri Baptist University Director of Athletics Jeff Fore had this to say about the hiring of Nicol, “I thrilled to welcome Coach Nicol as our new Cheer Coach and based on her experience and background I am confident that she will infuse a new level of enthusiasm and dedication into our cheer program.  Coach Nicol understands the standards we hold for our students and is committed to maintaining and building on the cheer program's past success. I feel our Cheer program is a vital component of the game day atmosphere, and not only connects the fans in the stands with the student-athletes on the court, but also serves as a significant ambassador of the University."

Nicol was a coach and tumbling intructor at Flippin Out Gymnastics in Mitchell, Indiana since 2017. Beginning in May 2022, Nicol was the Assistant Cheerleading Coach at Bedford North Lawrence High School in Bedford, Ind.

Nicol is a 2024 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a B.S. in Sport Management. While there she was able to compete in competitive cheer for four years at both the NCAA Division I and II level. She is a native of Mitchell, Ind. where she was a member of the cheer team at Mitchell High School.
