Jared Goodwin enters his seventh year as Assistant Coach for the Missouri Baptist University Men’s Basketball team in the fall of 2018.
During his time at Missouri Baptist, Goodwin has seen five players earn All-American recognition, nine players earn All-Conference recognition, and multiple players earn Academic All-Conference recognition including 19 in the last three seasons. In four of the last five seasons, the men’s team has also been recognized as an NAIA Scholar Team Award for having a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Prior to his time at Missouri Baptist University, Goodwin spent one season as the Head Coach of the Christian Life Center Boys’ Varsity team in Humble, Texas while also assisting with the Post Grad team. During his time in Texas, Goodwin also worked with the AAU program Katy Shooting Stars, the same program that AMC Freshman of the Year in 2013-2014 Chris Buzzell played for.
Goodwin graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where he worked with the Men’s Basketball program as a student manager for three seasons with his last year serving as the Head Manager of the team. During his time there, the team had a lot of success including winning the conference tournament in 2004 and advancing to the NCAA tournament. In 2005, Goodwin received his B.S. in Sport Management from Liberty University.
Goodwin married Missouri Baptist University Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country Coach, Katie Cline in July of 2017.
