Missouri Baptist University Director of Athletics Jeff Fore announced EJ Daffin as the Head Track & Field Coach on June 20, 2024. Daffin takes over the MBU program after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA Division II school the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.Va.

While with the Golden Eagles, Daffin was responsible for creating workout programs, overseeing film sessions, and recruiting sprinters and hurdlers. He coached 23 Mountain East Conference event champions, 43 MEC all-conference recipients, and two NCAA Division II national qualifiers.

Before Charleston, Daffin spent a season at Highland Community College in Highland, Kan., where he helped eight reach the NJCAA national meet, three claim NJCAA All-America honors, and one win a KJCCC East title. He additionally spent five years in the NAIA at Benedictine College, pushing 19 to the national qualifying mark along with 22 to Heart of America All-Conference honors and six HAAC conference champions.

Daffin started coaching as an assistant coach at his alma mater Siena Heights University where he coached eight NAIA All-Americans, two NAIA National Champions, and helped the Saints to a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Team Championship.

Daffin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from Siena Heights in 2015 and earned a Master of Education specializing in athletic coaching from Northcentral University in San Diego, Calif., in 2019.
