Sam Rebentisch

Sam Rebentisch joined the Missouri Baptist University women's wrestling staff as an assistant coach in Fall 2022. She comes to MBU after serving two seasons as women's wrestling graduate assistant at nearby Fontbonne University.

Rebentisch is a USA Wrestling bronze level coach and also has experience as an assistant on the Missouri National Team staff as well as at Northwest High School in Cedar Hill, Mo. 

Collegiately, Rebentisch wrestled at Lindenwood University-Belleville competing at 48kg and 109 pounds. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in Sports Management with a minor in History in 2017. She earned her master's in Management and Leadership from Fontbonne University.

Originally from Milford, Connecticut, Rebentisch was a team captain and varsity starter at 106 pounds at Jonathan Law High School. She was just the second female ever to qualify for the State Open Championships after placing sixth at the Connecticut Class M State Tournament. She went on to wrestle for Team Connecticut at multiple national tournaments. In her senior season, she placed sixth overall at the USA Wrestling Girls Nationals and was the 2013 New England Girls champion at 105 pounds.

Sam resides in St. Louis with her partner Andrew and their one-year-old sphynx, Floki.
