Trevor Rich is in his second year as an athletics communications assistant at Missouri Baptist University. He serves as the primary contact for football, men’s basketball, baseball, and men’s and women’s tennis, overseeing all media relations, content creation and digital strategy for those programs.
Before joining MBU, Rich worked in the athletic communications office at Brigham Young University, where he led coverage for the women’s tennis team and contributed to broader media efforts across BYU Athletics. He played a key role in launching the first ESPN+ broadcast for BYU women’s tennis and helped revamp the social media strategy for @byuwtennis on Instagram and Twitter, resulting in a 100 percent increase in followers and improved engagement.
In 2024–25, Rich also served as a game presentation intern with the St. Louis Blues, assisting with in-game entertainment and script preparation. He was nominated for the organization’s IDEA Inspire the Passion Award, which recognizes individuals who exemplify the team’s core values and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
In March 2025, Rich joined the St. Louis Cardinals as a communications game day associate, supporting the club’s media operations by managing credentials, preparing the press box, contributing to game notes, and assisting with VIP and guest services at Busch Stadium. He also contributes to the Cardinals’ daily Minor League Report, scoreboard notes and the team’s milestone tracking sheet.
Rich earned his bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations from BYU in 2024 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management at Missouri Baptist.
