Wakim, a senior from St. Louis, took the title in the 285 lb. class at the Central College Invitational in Pella, Iowa last weekend. Wakim won by fall in the first two rounds of competition. He took a 2-0 decision in the quarterfinal, and a 5-2 decision in the semi-final, before once again winning by fall over Truman State's Loyde Braidlow in the Final Match.
Wakim is a Secondary Education major and a two-time NAIA National Qualifier for MBU.
