ST.LOUIS – [RESULTS] The Missouri Baptist men's wrestling team loss to Williams Baptist College on Tuesday night by a final of 23-19. Tuesday marked the second time the Spartans have lost to first year program this season.  MBU also fell to 3-4 on the season with the loss.

The Spartans fell behind early in the dual with a loss by decision in the 125 weight class. MBU won by forfeit in the 133 weight class, but loss again by decision in the 141 weight class that left the dual all squared up at six.

William Upson won by major decision in the 149 weight class to put the Spartans up 10-6.  The Eagles of Williams Baptist answered back in a big way however. The Eagles won four straight matches, one by fall, one by decision, and two by major decision to take a commanding 23-10 lead.

MBU won the last two matches, but it wasn't enough as the Spartans fell 23-19. Andrew Mahone won by decision in the 197 weight class, and Luis Contreras won by fall in the heavyweight match.

The Spartans will participate in the Missouri Valley Invitational beginning this Friday, January 16th.
