BEACH VOLLEYBALL STARTS SEASON 1-1

The Spartans Beach Volleyball team wrapped up their first day of the 2018 season. MBU defeated Huntingdon, 5-0, before falling to Texas A&M-Kingsville, 5-0 in Texas. The Spartans start the season with a record of 1-1.

Maggie Sorensen and Rachel Luebbers had the best scores, defeating their opponents, 21-14 and 21-12. Marion Couraud and Sarah Bolton followed just behind the previous duo, winning 21-15 and 21-13.

While the Spartans did get swept by A&M-Kingsville, they still put up a solid fight. Kamden Maas and Mallory Moran were closest to their opponents, falling by just a few points.

The Spartans are back in action Saturday, March 3. They take on Principia College (Ill.) and Stevenson University (Md.) starting at 9 am.
