[BOX SCORE] After falling to Central Baptist in a doubleheader on Friday, Missouri Baptist took the series finale 9-3. Explosive offense and a strong start from
Austin Schiber got MBU back on track.

With some help from the Mustangs, the Spartans struck for three runs in the top of the first on one hit and one error. Two more runs were brought home on
John Hagan's two-run home run to center field in the third. Hagan's fourth home run of the year put MBU up 5-0 after three.

Central Baptist continued to help the Spartan offense in the fourth. Missouri Baptist put up three more runs on two defensive errors and three walks.
Drew Brooks plated the ninth run in the top of the fifth with an RBI single.

The Mustangs did not go quietly, as they put up two runs in the bottom of the fifth and one more in the eighth before the game ended with a 9-3 final score.

The Spartan pitching staff was the main story for Saturday's game. Schiber threw five strong innings allowing two runs on five hits.
Gary Watkins pitched two scoreless frames from the bullpen before
Tyler Schmidt and
Caleb Dean finished Central Baptist off.

The Spartans continue AMC play with a doubleheader on Tuesday at home against Hannibal-LaGrange University. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
