ST. LOUIS—Men's basketball senior forward
Pablo Hernandez has been named the AMC Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Hernandez averaged 22 points per game in a perfect 3-0 week for the Spartans. After leading the team with 20 points in a 37-point win over Park on Tuesday, the Ames, Spain native went off for 29 on Thursday against Central Baptist College. Hernandez capped the week off with a career-high eight assists on Saturday against Lyon.
The senior is now averaging a team-high 14.3 ppg this season while shooting 52.4% from the field. The Spartans are ranked No. 5 in the NAIA and lead the AMC by three with five games remaining in the regular season.
