ST. LOUIS – For the second week in a row and the third time this season, an MBU grappler has taken home Wrestler of the Week honors. Missouri Baptist freshman, Dillon Witt, has been named American Midwest Conference (AMC) Wrestler of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
 
Dillon Witt led the way for the Spartans this weekend following a 3-0 performance at the AMC Duals in Batesville, Ark. Following a forfeit victory against Central Baptist, Witt made quick work of Austin Creamer (Lyon College) earning the first period fall. In MBU's third and final dual Witt was faced with his toughest challenger and 2021 AMC Champ, Robert Fairchild (WBC). The freshman from Sullivan, Mo. rose to the occasion defeating Fairchild 8-2, to cap off his undefeated weekend.
 
Witt and MBU men's wrestling will be traveling to Marshall, Mo. Sunday, Feb 5^th for the Missouri Valley Open. Wrestling is set to begin at 9:00 AM.
