SALEH, WOOLBRIGHT COMPETE AT BOO ROGERS COMBINED EVENTS

PITTSBURG, Kan.- Dec 9 marked the start of the Boo Rogers Combined Events hosted by Pittsburg State, which is a two day event where the women compete in a pentathlon while the men take on the heptathlon. The event was packed with competition from multiple NCAA schools including last year's nationally ranked (3) Pittsburg State men's team and (3) West Texas A&M women's team. The participants for Missouri Baptist were senior,
Maegan Saleh and junior,
Camden Woolbright.
The first day started off with the women's 60 meter hurdles when Saleh came in 31
st with a time of 11.51. Next up was the high jump where the senior recorded a max height of 1.35m and came in 29
th. Saleh showed her strength with the next event, shot put, where she came in 13
th with a distance of 9.75m. Following that was one of Saleh's main events, long jump where she took 14
th with a distance of 5.13m. Finishing up the pentathlon was a new event for the senior, the 800m run. The St. Louis native took 29
th with a time of 2:50.90. Overall, Saleh finished 29
th out of 30. Â
The men's heptathlon started off later in the day with the 60 meter dash. Woolbright clocked in a time of 7.54 coming in 25
th. He also placed 25
th in the long jump with a distance of 5.96m. Following long jump was shot put where the junior threw a distance of 9.45m, taking 22
nd. The last event of the first day was high jump were Woolbright's highest jump was 1.80m, securing him 15
th. The second day started off with the 60 meter hurdles. The Centralia, IL native had a time of 8.97, coming in 17
th. For the pole vault, Woolbright was able to secure 15
th with one try at a height of 3.60m. The last event of the meet was the 1000m run where he came in 14
th with a time of 2:59.74. Overall, Woolbright finished out the meet placing 18
th out of 25. Over the weekend, Woolbright recorded a total of four new personal records in the pole vault, 60m run, shot put, and 1000m run.
Next up for MBU Track & Field is the EIU John Craft Invite on Jan 14 which they haven't competed in since 2020.
