Langston, Okla. – (21) Missouri Baptist University Competitive Cheer preformed at the NAIA qualifying regional competition this past Saturday. The Spartans placed 4
th out of 9 and suffered zero deductions during either performance. They fell behind (4) Oklahoma City University.
Missouri Baptist took to the mat for preliminary round early morning and threw a clean routine that resulted in a score of 75.86 points. The Spartans did not allow any building falls or tumbling touch downs.
The final performance of the day also resulted in a clean and successful routine for the Spartans. Once again falling behind OCU, Missouri Baptist improves their score from preliminaries by 1.17 points for a total of 77.03.
The Spartans finished with an overall scoring average of 76.74 points beating out Langston, Williams Baptist, UHSP, Waldorf, and Columbia College. The NAIA National Competitive Cheer and Dance Competition is scheduled for Saturday, Mar 11. MBU moves forward to preform at the NCA nationals April 5-9.
