Stunt Shuts Out Southern Arkansas University
MARTIN, Tenn. - Missouri Baptist STUNT (No. 5 – NAIA) set out for Martin, Tennessee this past Thursday to play in the (D1, No.3) University of Tennessee – Martin tournament. MBU went head-to-head with Southern Arkansas and UTM of Friday afternoon and then rematch Tennessee Martin on Saturday. Missouri Baptist brought home two wins of the three matches.
Friday Games:
STUNT took on Tennessee Martin first on Friday. MBU fought hard to pull one over on the Skyhawks but ultimately fell short 14-12. The D1 No.3 team pushed back on the Spartans, but we kept on their tail. Despite Tennessee Martin making one challenge during the first quarter, STUNT proved they deserved the point.
Later in the day the Spartans met Southern Arkansas University on the mat. The mule riders were no match for the Spartans difficulty level. SAU had to forfeit multiple routines handing over the point to MBU. Missouri Baptist Swept SAU 15-0
Saturday:
Missouri Baptist competed against UT- Martin once more the following day. The Spartans brought 110% to the game the second time around. MBU took over in this follow up and won 12-10.
Missouri Baptist STUNT will return home this weekend March 18
th to play in the Fontbonne University Tournament against Buena Vista and (NAIA, No. 7) Central Methodist University. Their first game kicks off at 11:30 a.m.
