ST.LOUIS—Five wrestlers took top honors at the Dr. Tom Smith Invitational. on Saturday as Dillon Witt, Tyler Deen, Brandon Bollinger, ET Rodgers Jr., and Amad Soufi took first in their weight classes.
No. 20 Dillon Witt took the crown at 133 pounds as he claimed two pins and a win over teammate No. 18 Daryl Mills in the finals 6-5. No. 24 Tyler Deen won the 141-weight class with two decisions and a technical fall.Â
No. 20 Brandon Bollinger also took care of business at 149 with a fall and two technical falls, as he outscored his opponents 41-8. ET Rodgers Jr. made quite the debut, taking four wins and outscoring his opponents 58-13. Â
Amad Soufi took home the title at heavyweight with two major decisions and a fall in the finals.Â
Daryl Mills, Jacob Sinn, and Joel Campbell all appeared in the finals for the Spartans.  Hunter Song, John Davis, Braedon Stotts, Blake Johnson, and Jacob Bader also placed in their respective weights.
The Spartans will travel to take part in the AMC/Sooner Duals next weekend at Williams Baptist in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.Â
