ST.LOUIS- For the first time this season, a freshman on the Missouri Baptist men's wrestling team claimed American Midwest Conference Wrestler of the Week as Noah Richardson. 

The conference bestowed this award upon him after his sixth-place finish at the Missouri Valley Open hosted by Missouri Valley College. 

The Spartan went 5-1 on the weekend, and his wins included three falls and a major decision before he hit his match limit in the consolation semifinal. 

This honor is Richardson's first weekly conference honor of his career, and this award marks the eighth time a Spartan has won this award this season

The Spartans head to Des Moines, Iowa, this weekend to compete in the Grand View Duals. The First Dual will start at 11 a.m.
