Ten MBU Track & Field Athletes Named to CSC Academic All-District® Teams

ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University had 10 student-athletes who were selected to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams on Tuesday (June 24). MBU women's track and field produced five honorees while the men's track and field team did as well.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's & Women's Track and Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Alaina Scott, Lillian Harris, Mia Duncan, Mariana Cubero, and Angela Ward were all selected from the MBU women's track and field team. Duncan is making her second appearance on the all-district squad. Also joining her for the second time is Alaina Scott

Scott was also selected as a Daktronics Scholar-Athlete this year and earned American Midwest Conference field athlete of the week two times throughout the season.

Duncan ended her career with a stellar academic performance each year. Throughout her career she earned Academic All-AMC seven times, Daktronics Scholar-Athlete nine times, and is now a two-time CSC All-District athlete.

Harris, Cubero, and Ward are earning this distinction for the first time in their careers. Harris and Ward were also listed as Daktronics Scholar Athletes.

The men's track and field team brought home five CSC Academic All-District® honorees as well including Warren Gann, Brandon Etheridge, Grant Patten, Jordan Notz, and Wyatt Claiborne.

All five athletes are earning this award for the first time in their careers. Gann, Notz, and Patten were also listed as Daktronics Scholar-Athletes this season for the first time as well.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. The NCAA and NAIA Track and Field Academic All-America®  First-, second-, and third-team honorees will be announced on July 15th, 2025 (women) and July 16, 2025 (men).
