Javaris Moye and
Merquiche Lewis earned Heart all-conference awards in the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Postseason Awards release on Thursday.
Moye, a junior guard, received First Team All-Conference and All-Defensive Team honors. The St. Louis native led the Heart in steals, averaging 2.76 per game (SPG), to rank fifth in the nation. He also led the Spartans in scoring, with 17.0 points per game (PPG).
Moye currently holds the MBU single-game steals record after getting eight steals against Mission University on
Dec. 3, 2025. This season, Moye was named the Heart of America Defensive Player of the Week three times.
Lewis, a junior forward, was selected to the second team after posting 13.7 PPG and 5.2 rebounds per game (RPG), including a 54.6 percentage from the floor. He recorded a season high of 24 points against Clarke University on Nov. 15, 2025.
The Spartans ended the season 19-10 (13-7) after a loss to Central Methodist University Tuesday night.
