ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist senior Luca da Silva Ebenriter has been named to the 2026 NAIA Men's Tennis All-America Second Team following an outstanding season competing at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions for the Spartans.
The Florianopolis, Brazil, native put together one of the top seasons in the NAIA, finishing with an 18-5 singles record while playing exclusively at the No. 1 position. He earned victories over nationally recognized competition throughout the year and closed the season by winning 10 of his final 12 completed singles matches before the NAIA National Championship Round of 16.
Da Silva Ebenriter opened the season with six consecutive singles victories, highlighted by straight-set wins over opponents from Judson, Marian, Missouri Valley and Concordia. He also collected key victories against William Woods, Oakland City, Lindsey Wilson and Bethel before adding a 6-0, 6-3 win over Marian in the opening round of the NAIA National Championships.
In doubles competition, da Silva Ebenriter led the Spartans with a 16-8 record. Alongside partner Sebastian Junghanns, he captured the 2025 ITA NAIA Central-East Regional Doubles Championship, earning a 6-1, 7-5 victory in the championship match to qualify for the ITA Cup. The regional title highlighted an impressive fall season and helped establish the duo among the NAIA's top doubles teams entering the spring campaign.
Da Silva Ebenriter played a pivotal role in the Spartans' run to the NAIA National Championship Round of 16, where Missouri Baptist concluded its season against Southeastern (Fla.).
