Fitzgerald Hopkins

The 2018-19 season will be Fitzgerald Hopkins first as an assistant coach with Missouri Baptist men’s basketball. Hopkins previously played three years at Freed-Hardeman University where he led the team in points, assists, and threes made as a junior in the 2016-17 season. He was an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American and a Second Team All-Conference selection. Hopkins graduated with a degree in Business Administration in May of 2017.

After graduating early from Freed-Hardeman, Fitzgerald played his senior season at Missouri Baptist while beginning work on his Master’s Degree. He led the Spartans in points, assists, and three’s made in the 2017-18 campaign. He also led the American Midwest Conference in assists. He was named as an All-Conference selection and an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American for the second time.

Fitzgerald finished his basketball career with 1,181 total points and 215 three point shots made. He will now continue to work toward his Master’s Degree in Sport Management.
