Christian Hamilton

Christian rejoins Missouri Baptist after stepping away from college coaching for a year and a half to coach in Colorado at Apex Tennis Center. Christian has been a tennis coach for 11 years. He was a college tennis coach across NCAA D2, D3, Juco, and NAIA for 7 years (2015-2022). Christian is certified through the United States Professional Tennis Association since 2017,USTA certified coach since 2021, and Professional Pickleball Registry certified since 2024. He has coached 35+ nationally ranked players over the past 11 years. Hamilton has coached multiple professional players who competed on the Futures and Challenger circuits. 

In addition to coaching tennis at Missouri Baptist University, he is a racquets professional at Bellerive Country Club, specializing in tennis and pickleball. His main roles are coaching tennis/pickleball lessons, camp coordination, event planning, and enhancing member experience. Before Bellerive, Christian was at Apex Tennis Center in Arvada, Colorado. Christian helped in leading a robust junior and adult tennis program. He worked with many 10 and under juniors, high school players, and a several adult players. Some of his adult players went on to compete at the national level in their respective divisions: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. For the high school players, he worked privately with a few players who were an integral part of winning the first ever Colorado team state championship for Ralston Valley High School girl's tennis in Spring 2024.

Prior to Apex Tennis Center, Christian was a college tennis coach for seven years. Making stops at Ashland University, Lewis and Clark Community College, Missouri Baptist University, UHSP, Allegheny College, and Lindenwood University. He was both a head coach and assistant coach, responsible of both men and women's tennis programs. During this time, he recruited and developed 16 regionally ranked players and nine nationally ranked players, 8X ITA All-Academic Team awards, 27 All-Conference awards, including a GLIAC Freshman of the year.

Christian is passionate about teaching good technique and building a player’s tennis strategy. As a player, Christian played at Lindenwood University- Belleville for four years. He also competed at Usta Nationals in 2022 at the Men's 4.5 level. His team took fifth place overall.
