Michael Wyatt

Missouri Baptist University announced the hiring of Michael Wyatt as head coach of its men's and women's golf programs.

Wyatt brings more than three decades of experience in coaching, teaching, and golf operations to Missouri Baptist. He is a Class A member of the PGA of America, elected in March 2001, and has worked extensively in player development across private, semi-private, public, and retail golf environments.

"What excites us most about Coach Wyatt is his ability to teach," said Director of Athletics Jeff Fore. "He understands that great golf programs are built through daily instruction, purposeful practice, and individual development. His teaching philosophy will help our golfers grow technically, mentally, and competitively."

In his coaching career, Wyatt has focused on individualized player development, combining on-course instruction with data-driven evaluation and structured practice plans. He has experience working with athletes of all skill levels, emphasizing course management, short game performance, and competitive preparation.

Wyatt has also demonstrated a strong background in junior and collegiate pipeline development. His experience includes conducting annual junior golf camps, implementing introductory programs for new golfers, and developing college-preparatory training models for middle school and high school players.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Lindenwood University and is currently completing a Master of Arts in Education. Wyatt also holds multiple professional certifications, including U.S. Kids Golf Certified Instructor, American Development Model (ADM) certification, and specialized training in teaching, coaching, and club fitting.

At Missouri Baptist, Wyatt will oversee all aspects of the men's and women's golf programs, including recruiting, player development, practice and competition planning, and program administration.
