Derrick Frost enters his role with a diverse background spanning professional athletics and financial services.
A native of Richmond Heights, Missouri, Frost graduated from Clayton High School in 1999 before continuing his academic and athletic career at the University of Northern Iowa. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics in 2004 while competing in both football and baseball for the Panthers.
Following graduation, Frost spent six seasons in the National Football League, playing for the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, and Green Bay Packers.
After concluding his professional football career in 2009, Frost transitioned into financial services, beginning with Fulcrum Securities, an independent broker/dealer. He later joined Wells Fargo Advisors, serving as a Financial Advisor in the firm’s Private Client Group.
In April 2013, Frost founded Profusion Financial, a Registered Investment Advisory firm. His practice focuses on wealth management for high-net-worth individuals, including professional athletes, business owners, and physicians, with an emphasis on long-term financial planning, asset protection, and wealth transition strategies.
Beyond his professional work, Frost has remained active in the former player community. Since 2012, he has served in multiple roles with the NFL Players Association’s Former Players Department at both the national and local levels. He is also the president of STL Pro Players, a St. Louis-based nonprofit organization led by former professional athletes that supports underserved youth through academics, athletics, and the arts. The organization has donated nearly $400,000 to community initiatives since 2016.
