Megan Cottet, PhD, CSCS

Dr. Megan L. Cottet, PhD, CSCS, launched Missouri Baptist University's Athletic Performance Department in 2023, bringing a blend of field experience and academic knowledge to the role. She holds a Ph.D. in Human & Sport Performance, a master's degree in Human Performance with an emphasis in Sport Nutrition, a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). 

Dr. Cottet serves as the Director of Athletic Performance at Missouri Baptist University, where she leads a team of strength and conditioning specialists supporting 16 athletic teams. She is the head strength coach for women’s volleyball and women’s lacrosse, and directly oversees the programming for the rest of the athletics department.

In addition to her coaching duties, Dr. Cottet is an Assistant Professor in Health and Movement Sciences, actively contributing to student development through teaching and research mentorship of our Assistant Athletic Performance Coaches and undergraduate students. 

Additionally, she currently serves as the Missouri State Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), supporting professional development of strength coaches, personal trainers, and educators across the region.
