Sean Merrell joined Missouri Baptist University Athletics in July 2025 as an Athletics Operations Assistant. He comes to MBU as a recent graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned his degree in Sport Management with honors.
Merrell worked with Florida Elite Gymnastics, where he supported administrative operations, policy development, and event planning. He’s also explored the intersection of sports and technology through AI-driven projects focused on performance analysis and financial literacy.
During his time at Florida, Sean led the men’s club volleyball team to multiple tournament wins, managed travel logistics, and developed in-depth statistical tracking systems to support team performance. He also produced video content for the team’s YouTube channel, showcasing his skills in multimedia and storytelling.
With a passion for sports, a sharp analytical mind, and a growing background in project management, Sean is excited to contribute to the continued success of collegiate athletics.
