Lady Spartans Fall to Columbia
The Missouri Baptist University women's basketball team lost on the road to Columbia College 77-63 Tuesday night. The loss drops the Lady Spartans to 4-5 in the American Midwest Conference, 9-13 overall.
Nikia Henry led MBU with 17 points, while April Redus scored 15, on 5 for 10 from behind the arc. Omega Key brought down 12 boards for the Lady Spartans.
The Lady Spartans will return home on Saturday to play host to William Woods University. Play will tip-off at 2:00 p.m., with the men's game will follow. Both the men's and women's basketball games have been designated as Coaches vs. Cancer games. Donations will be taken at the game to go toward research done by the American Cancer Society.
