The MBU women's volleyball team will be hosting a "Dig Pink" match on October 27, when they play Hannibal-LaGrange College at 7:00 p.m. In conjunction with the Side-Out Foundation, the Lady Spartans are gathering donations to help in the fight against breast cancer.

The Side-Out Foundation (Side-Out) was established in 2004 by a group of individuals drawn together by their love of volleyball, but who also share a similar passion to be a part of the war against breast cancer. Side-Out's mission is to raise money for the war against breast cancer through the recreational activity of volleyball.
Side-Out's 2009 Objectives include: raising $1,000,000 for Breast Cancer,creating Side-Out Foundation Clincal Trials based on Molecular Profiling and Targeted Therapies, creating the Side-Out Foundation Tumor Bank, recruiting 3,000 teams to participate in Dig Pink events throughout the year.
