The women's volleyball team faced just one opponent last week, but managed to take home two AMC wins from Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on Tuesday.

The Lady Spartans worked quickly to defeat the Lady Eagles in the first matching, winning in three games; 25-16, 25-23, 25-22. WBC gave MBU a bigger challenge in the second match, taking the Lady Spartans to four games. The Lady Spartans pulled out the win; 26-24, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18.
 
With the two American Midwest Conference wins, MBU improves to 19-16 overall, 9-5 in the AMC. The Missouri Baptist will face AMC opponent Hannibal-LaGrange College on Tuesday of this week, when the Lady Spartans host their "Dig Pink" match The match culminates a month's worth of fundraising efforts for the Sideout Foundation, which raises funds for breast cancer research.
