The MBU women's volleyball team finished its season with a three game loss to Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. on Thursday night. The Lady Spartans lost in the semifinal round of the American Midwest Conference Tournament.
Missouri Baptist won its opening round match on Tuesday, as they hosted Hannibal-LaGrange College at CBC High School. The Lady Spartans took the match 25-16, 23-25, 25-18, 25-21. That win advanced MBU to the semifinal match against top seeded Columbia. Columbia, who rolled through the AMC Regular Season untouched, made quick work of ending the Lady Spartans' post-season hopes, winning in three games; 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.
MBU finished the season 23-17. They finished tied for third in the AMC with an 11-5 record. Columbia College will now face William Woods for the AMC Tournament Championship on Saturday.
