Lady Spartans Fall to Hornets
The Missouri Baptist University women's basketball team suffered its first AMC home loss of the year with an 82-76 loss to Harris-Stowe State University on Thursday night. The loss is only the second home loss for the Lady Spartans this season, with the first being a Homecoming loss to Taylor University in early November.
Sophomore forward Ashley Johnson led the Lady Spartans with 20 points and 11 rebounds, her 6th double-double of the season. She also added three steals. The loss takes the Lady Spartans to 12-8 overall, 5-4 in the AMC. They currently sit tied for third in the American Midwest Conference with Hannibal-LaGrange College and McKendree University. They will take on the Lady Bearcats at McKendree this Saturday, with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
