The MBU women's basketball team dropped its third straight game in an 83-80 upset by Williams Baptist College (11-9, 4-3) on Saturday.Missouri Baptist led most of the game. They held a 47-36 lead at the half, and led by as much as 17 points in the second period. The Lady Eagles used a late surge to push ahead of MBU within the last two minutes of the game.

Ashley Johnson led MBU with 22 points. Sophomore guard
Andrea Seabaugh added 19 points and junior forward
Jessica Moore added 16 points for MBU.
With the loss, the Lady Spartans drop to 10-7 overall, 2-3 in the American Midwest Conference. The Lady Spartans have a full week of play this week, as they begin with a trip to Park University in Kansas City on Tuesday for a make-up game. They then play William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. on Thursday and return home to face Hannibal-LaGrange College on Saturday.
