SPARTANS MEN'S SOCCER UNABLE TO WIN AT PARK

Parkville, Mo.- The Missouri Baptist men's soccer team headed to Park University looking to get their season on track by getting a road win. However, Park needed only one goal to get the win as the Spartans offense struggled.

The Spartans were wanting a win to start the second half of the season on the right foot. Both teams played strong defense throughout the first half. The Pirates were able to break through the defensive battle first when George Kennedy scored in the 39th minute to give Park the early 1-0 lead.

That was all the scoring needed as in the second half Missouri Baptist was unable to break through Park's defensive line. The Spartans were outshot in the game 10-2 with no shots on goal while goalie Ethan Brunk made four saves on the day.

The team's record falls to 0-9-1 and will look to get a strong road victory against Harris-Stowe State University on October 7th at 3:00 p.m.
