Fayette, Mo.- The Missouri Baptist women's basketball team headed on the road to face Central Methodist University, looking for their fifth win in the last six games. The team started out slow and was unable to come back, falling 82-68. 
 
After dropping 94 points in their previous game, the Spartans wanted to continue their hot shooting while also adding another win. The Eagles got out to a fast 11-0 start, as the team missed its first six shots before Lauren Taylor got Missouri Baptist on the board. 
 
With six minutes left to go MBU was down 28-13 after a three point basket made by CMU's Raylyn Nuss. However, the Spartans went on a 18-10 run to get back into the game only down 38-31 at the half. 
 
The Spartans shot 33% from the field to Central Methodist 45%. Andrea Seabaugh led MBU with 11 points. Sami Dunger of CMU led all scorers at the half with 13. 
 
In the second half, Missouri Baptist was unable to cool down the Eagles as they held a double digit lead for most of the half. The closest the team came being down was eight points with under three minutes to go after a Haley Elders basket to make it 72-64. 
 
Central Methodist held off the charging Spartans for the win. The team shot 40% in the second half and also made six three pointers totaling 13 for the game. MBU was outrebounded 47-35 but did force 18 turnovers.
 
Andrea Seabaugh led the team with 17 points and six rebounds. Janelle Hensold also had a nice game with 11 points and six rebounds. Central Methodist had four players in double figures with Sami Dunger leading all scorers with 25 points. Also, Karli Abbey had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. 
 
The Spartans record evens out at 5-5 on the year but will look to get above .500 when they head to University of Missouri-St. Louis on December 10th at 1:00 p.m.
