Hannibal, Mo. - The Missouri Baptist University women's volleyball team recorded a road sweep at Hannibal LaGrange on Monday evening, going on to a 25-11, 25-18 and 27-25 victory.
Hannibal LaGrange made every effort to steal a set from the #20-ranked Spartans, and came the closest of any team in MBU's last six matches.
MBU won the first match handedly, but the Spartans were slowed in the next two sets. After a 25-18 victory, MBU fought hard to continue its consecutive set win streak alive.
Leading the charge for the Spartans was Lauren Stuckel. The talented setter had 22 assists and six kills, going on to a .857 hitting percentage for the match. Jessica Bowman also had a good match recording seven assists.
Also stepping up for MBU was Molly DeClue. The freshman outside hitter had ten digs and six kills. The Spartans extended their win streak to six matches and improved their record to 14-1.
