Fulton, Mo. - The Missouri Baptist University women's volleyball squad only needed three sets yet again, as the team went on to another straight set victory on Wednesday evening, 25-23, 25-22 and 25-15.
MBU went to Fulton, Mo., in search of its seventh-consecutive victory and turned in another outstanding performance. As the season has progressed, several players have risen to the occasion.
Wednesday's match was no different current Spartan Athlete of the Week, Lauren Stuckel, was at the top of her game. She, along with Megan Moore, combined for 18 kills. Stuckel also added 33 assists to her statistics line to lead the offense.
On defense, Tracey Abell stood out yet again. The senior from Ft. Zumwalt South recorded 21 digs to lead the Spartan defense. With the victory, MBU improves to 15-1 overall and is now a perfect 5-0 for the season.
The team will now get a much-needed respite before it's next game on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at NCAA DII opponent, Maryville University.
