ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Missouri Baptist women's volleyball continued its march toward the American Midwest Conference tournament next week with a 3-0 win against Hannibal-LaGrange on Tuesday night.
Missouri Baptist (31-2, 15-2 AMC) earned its second victory over the Trojans this season after dominating play on the road in the second to the last regular season match of the year.
Middle blocker Madeline Nesbit led the team on the night with nine kills, one solo block and two digs with a .438 attack percentage. Also coming up big for Missouri Baptist was Maddy Hammack. The junior from St. Louis also posted nine kills with one ace and six digs on the night.
For Hannibal-LaGrange, Brooke Van Es led the way for the Trojans. The senior from Murrieta, Calif., posted 7 kills with one ace, 14 digs and one solo block.
The Spartans will complete their regular season schedule on Thursday, Nov. 1 when the team travels to Benedictine-Springfield. First serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
