SLOW FIRST HALF HURTS SPARTANS ON THE ROAD

Parkville, Mo. - The Missouri Baptist women's basketball team shot cold in the first half on the road at Park University, scoring just 16 points, falling in the end 90-59.

The team was starting to catch fire near the end of their schedule, as the Spartans had won three out of their previous four games. The Pirates jumped out to a 20-9 advantage and went on to lead at the half 46-16.

Missouri Baptist was able to get hot with their shooting in the second half, but couldn't hold down the Pirates who shot 53% from the field, 75% from the three point arc and 76% from the free throw line in the game.

Lauren Taylor was the only player to reach double-digits, leading the way with 10 points. Andrea Seabaugh and Kayla Tisza each added eight points.
