MEN’S WRESTLING DROPS FOUR AT INDIANA TECH

ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist men's wrestling went 0-4 over the weekend at the Indiana Tech Warrior Duals.

MBU's Chris Padilla led the way and went 3-1 in his bouts at 133lbs. The senior grabbed his biggest win of the day against Billy Ward of Cumberland (Tenn.). The unranked Padilla gave Ward, the No. 2-ranked wrestler in the nation at 133, all he could handle. Padilla took the bout by a 4-2 decision.

Julius Anglikas and Cameron Ream also had a solid day. Anglikas, the No. 9-ranked wrestler in the heavyweight class went 2-2 on the day. The Senior from New York lost only to ranked wrestlers on the day (No. 4 David Lopez – Great Falls, No. 15 Andre Dunn – Indiana Tech).

Ream also went 2-2 on the weekend at 165lbs. The senior from Wentzville, Mo., had one of the more exciting bouts of the day against James Bennett of Indiana Tech. Bennett, the No. 4-ranked wrestler at 165 in the NAIA had his difficulties with Ream, though he defeated the MBU grappler by a narrow 3-1 decision.

On the day, Missouri Baptist dropped duals against No. 8 University of the Cumberlands (25-18), No. 11 Indiana Tech (44-0), No. 4 Campbellsville (34-17), and No. 5 Great Falls (38-15).
