ST.LOUIS [RESULTS] - The Missouri Baptist men's wrestling team squared off against four different opponents on Saturday at the Indiana Tech Warrior Duals. The Spartans picked up one victory, while dropping three duals.
MBU began the day with a dual against Great Falls University. Aaron Hane, Elmer Francisco, Andrew Mahone, and Luis Contreras all picked up points for Mobap, but the Spartans fell by a score of 23-14.
In their second dual of the day, Missouri Baptist faced Indiana Tech. Matthew Behr and Luis Contreras were the only Spartans to pick up wins in the loss. MBU fell to Indiana Tech 35-6.
The Spartans picked up their only victory of the day in their third Dual against St. Catharine College. William Upson, Elmer Francisco, Jeffery Brock, and Luis Contreras all won their matches. Contreras won by pin to continue his impressive day. MBU also picked up three forfeits for the 34-9 victory.
In their final dual, Missouri Baptist fell to Embry-Riddle 26-23.Aaron Hane, William Upson, Jeffery Brock, Andrew Mahone, and Luis Contreras all picked up wins in the dual, but a Spartan forfeit in the 174 lbs match cost them the dual. Contreras won again by pin to finish perfect on the day.
The Spartans will be on break for a month, and will be back in action on January 13th when they visit Williams Baptist for a team dual.
